Our Partner
A biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing genetic medicines for patients with rare diseases through gene therapy.
Challenge
Our partner was creating a life-changing gene therapy for treating Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEB), a rare and severe disease that affects the skin and mucosal tissues. The FDA granted the product orphan drug, fast track, rare pediatric, and Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy designations. To support the inaugural launch of this first non-invasive, topical, and redosable gene therapy for DEB, they required specialized recruitment support.
Solution
PrincetonOne was engaged to design and implement a customized, end-to-end recruiting solution to fill 17 critical roles for the launch. We created and refined the hiring process to maintain strong candidate interest, evolving the experience requirements from “dermatology” and “rare disease” to “ultra-rare disease” expertise to ensure alignment with our partner’s standards.
Results
Our team conducted 222 phone interviews to identify the best-fit candidates and scheduled 184 face-to-face interviews across multiple stages of our partner’s interview process. Ultimately, we successfully filled all 17 roles on time. The newly hired team brought an average of 22.3 years of industry experience and 8.5 years of experience in rare diseases, supporting a successful launch.
“Each of the Recruiting Partners was able to build up trust with our Sales Directors through their work ethic, expertise in the field, and by presenting great candidates.”
