Originally from New York City, Barry has been in the recruiting industry for more than 23 years. With a focus on roles in commercial finance, he has achieved President’s Club status annually since joining PrincetonOne in 2002.

What’s the most rewarding part about being a recruiter?

It’s always gratifying to me to help a company grow. Being a recruiter affords me the opportunity to decide what types of candidates and companies I want to work with. I enjoy taking a contingency solution-based approach to my recruiting efforts in order to search, identify and provide qualified candidates to my clients at no up-front cost to them.

Who is your favorite client and why?

Since 2004, I have successfully placed quite a few candidates at a business funding company that provides accounts receivable financing services. Currently, six out of their seven outside sales people were placed by me.

What’s your most rewarding placement?

The next one I will do.

My fellow recruiters who have successfully been able to stick it out in this profession during the good times as well as the challenging ones.

Fun facts about Barry

I enjoy experiencing new cultures. Before I became a recruiter, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal for two years. I have a deep fondness for the country and its culture. After my wife and I were married, we lived in Kathmandu for a few years and I’m proud to say I can speak conversational Nepali.

I also worked as a musician in San Francisco for many years, playing saxophone and flute. From 1995-2000, I played with the retro-swing band, Indigo Swing.
