Employee Spotlight: Ed Stephens
Meet Ed Stephens, a true veteran of our business. What stands out the most about Ed when you first meet him is his sincerity in understanding his clients and candidates as well as his knowledge of the semiconductor industry and the art of recruiting.
Where are you originally from?
Vidalia, GA
What’s your favorite part of the business?
The interview stage. I enjoy observing candidates as they go through various stages of the interview process. It is interesting seeing their expectations change, sometimes significantly, as their interest in the opportunity goes up or down.
Favorite food?
Cheeseburger topped with a fried egg
Favorite TV show?
Blue Bloods
Favorite sports team?
Denver Broncos
Favorite vacation spot?
Hawaii
Favorite client and why?
I have a client that is a leading designer, developer and global supplier of a broad range of analog and digital semiconductor connectivity solutions. They have a great search process which places an emphasis on working directly with the hiring managers along with an impressive history of growth and success in their industry focus which is a great story to sell.
Most satisfying placement and why?
My candidate had been with a top company for 14 years and had never interviewed for a job since. The opportunity I presented and placed him at brought the family back to their original hometown where both of their parents, siblings, and extended family lived. The candidate’s father called me to thank me for reuniting their family and giving him the opportunity to be a full-time grandfather rather than only seeing his grandchildren once a year.
