Where are you originally from?

Allentown, Pennsylvania

What’s the most rewarding part about being a recruiter?

To me, there’s no better feeling than when you place a candidate in a position that truly makes a difference to their quality of life. Whether it’s a higher salary, career mobility, stability or less travel, I am most satisfied when it makes a positive impact to them.

Who is your favorite client and why?

A major manufacturer of component products and distributor of building products and materials for the recreational vehicle, manufactured housing and marine industries. They’re a growing company with a great reputation in their industry. They offer a nice career track and over the years I’ve gotten to know what types of employees they’re partial to and who will be a good fit for them. From a recruiting perspective, I work directly with one of their human resources vice presidents which helps streamline the interview process. I also love that they’re able to make quick hiring decisions.

What’s your most rewarding placement and why?

A few years ago, Tom McGuire and I partnered with Ed Mamrak on two searches—a marketing and a specialty sales role—for one of his top clients in the food service industry. The hiring manager for the marketing role was fairly intense and required us to give very detailed reviews of the candidates we were presenting. At the end of the day, we got both placements which was both a huge accomplishment and a tremendous relief.

Who do you most admire?

Mother Teresa

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My family and I have season tickets to the Cleveland Cavaliers. I love going to the games and have even been to the NBA finals. I also watch an insane amount of YouTube videos about a variety of subjects.

What is one interesting fact no one knows about you?

I love to organize! Closets, cabinets, garages. You name it, I’ll organize it. I also like to buy fancy sheets so that when I make my bed, it looks like it should be on the cover of a magazine.
