Stand for the Silent

PrincetonOne is Taking a Stand Against Bullying

To help further their “Year of the Children” mission, our Cleveland office raised money to support bullying awareness. Their contributions were donated to Stand for the Silent, a program that addresses the issue of school bullying with engaging, factual and emotional methodology.

Stand for the Silent was founded in 2010 by a group of high school students in Oklahoma who were inspired by the story of Ty Field-Smalley, an 11-year old who took his life after years of being bullied in school. Today, the organization is run today by Ty’s parents, Kirk and Laura Smalley. Through the program, they share their son’s story and provide education and tools to prevent bullying in schools. At the end of each event, pledge cards are given to those who agree to stand for the silent. The pledge speaks of respect, love, hope and aspiration.

“We received your amazing donation today in the mail! Please tell everyone [at PrincetonOne] how thankful we are for their help in funding our mission to save babies from what ours went through. This will buy 40,000 pledge cards that we will give to 40,000 young lives and hearts to remind them that they matter to someone out here! You guys have just helped me save several hundred lives I promise that! Bless each of you endlessly and always!” — Kirk Smalley
